SEATTLE — Washington state Attorney General Nick Brown today joined a multistate lawsuit challenging an illegal executive order that terminated AmeriCorps grants and reduced the agency’s workforce by 85 percent. The order effectively ended the program that provides opportunities to more than 200,000 Americans to serve their communities. The coalition includes 23 attorneys general and the states of Kentucky and Pennsylvania.
SEATTLE — Washington State Attorney General Nick Brown today, as part of a coalition of 19 attorneys general, filed a lawsuit challenging the U.S. Department of Education’s threat to withhold federal funding from state and local agencies that refuse to abandon lawful programs and policies promoting equal access to education.

OLYMPIA — In recognition of April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Attorney General’s Office today announced the launch of a new reporting tool for survivors of sexual assault. 
KENNEWICK — Following an Attorney General’s Office investigation into discriminatory employment practices and misrepresentations to local farmworkers about agricultural job opportunities, King Fuji Ranch, a Richland-based agricultural company, will reform its hiring practices and pay $180,000 to the Attorney General’s Office. 
OLYMPIA — Consumers and small businesses got a major court victory after the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia found that Google maintained illegal monopolies in the digital advertising technology industry, stifling competition and harming website publishers, advertisers, and consumers. 
SEATTLE – The Washington state Attorney General’s Office today filed a civil rights lawsuit against Seattle Public Schools, alleging repeated failures to provide reasonable accommodations to pregnant and nursing employees as required by state law.
OLYMPIA – Attorney General Nick Brown has joined 21 attorneys general in two amicus briefs on behalf of law firms that are fighting back against unconstitutional executive orders issued in retaliation for work the Trump administration opposes politically. 
SEATTLE — Attorney General Nick Brown today joined 20 other attorneys general in suing the Trump administration to stop the dismantling of three federal agencies that provide services and funding supporting public libraries and museums, workers, and minority-owned businesses nationwide.
